Posted on 02 March 2015
The recently held 11th Annual New York Pet Fashion show brought to the fore just how serious we take pet fashion. From stunning dog apparel to unique grooming styles, every pet at the show was dressed to kill. While most of the pets walking the ramp were dogs, there were a few cats and even a lizard thrown into the mix.
Each year the New York Pet Fashion show is held to raise funds and awareness for animal adoption charities. Currently in its 11th year, the New York Pet Fashion show has evolved into the highlight of a pet lover’s social calendar each year.
This year the theme for the show was A “Rescue Revolution” Peace, Love and Animal Rescue - A tribute to the 60’s & 70’s in Fashion, Music and Attitude.” And pets and their owners went all out to impress the judges with their couture clothes for dogs. There were Paco and Pearl, two adorable Chihuahas in skirts, wigs and even big earrings. Also dressed to impress was the beautiful Juju, a Yorkshire terrier who donned a long antique lace dress that left the audience stunned. Of course topping the list was the lizard who wore a dress made of feathers and rode a skateboard on his big day!
With so many adorable animals at the show, we’d be hard pressed to pick our favorites, however here are five adorable critters that won our hearts and took our breath away!
Yeyush the Chihuaha, a well know canine face on Instagram, wore a black jacket with a bandana and shades while he walked the ramp in style.
Taking a completely different approach was flower child, Frost – the poodle definitely made a statement with his advocacy for peace and fuschia faux hawk.
Then there was this cutie patootie chihuaha rockin’ his ‘fro like a pro!
The event also saw Pink dog Frankie Agnello walk the ramp in all his stunning pink glory!
Taking the love of pink to a whole new level was Lady Gaga! We’ve got to say, she is one awesome chick!
